“I Just Don’t See Race” Remarks White Friend

“Yeah, I just don’t really see race,” reported University of Washington Sophomore and Sport Management major, Jacob Schneider, to a group of friends minutes ago. “America has basically become a post-racial society,” Schneider continued while swinging his Lexus car keys around his finger, not noticing the strange and confused looks shot at him by his friends, “I mean, we have a black president.”Sources also confirmed that any interjection to stop his elaboration on his newest anthro-sociological thesis on how all barriers to economic gain and social success could be removed for People of Color if they, “just stopped talking about race all the time,” proved unsuccessful. At press time, friends reported, “Oh God,” as Schneider had begun on why affirmative action was really just reverse-racism.
