Hi gang,

Have your heard Seattle U’s fight song? It’s so good. It’s really cleverly written. Let’s dive in:

Let’s give a cheer for Seattle, Ol’ Seattle U

Show them the fight of the Red & White

They will win for you

HAHA WOW. Holy shit this is some good shit. dank dank dank dank dank. Seattle University is old! My grandma is old and Seattle U is even older than her! Very clever rhyming U and you. I hope we see something this creative again down the line.

Fight, Fight, Fight

Saying something multiple times is a classic strategy that shows your really mean it! Love this line.

Over the foes we’re victorious and victory is our cheer

So let’s give a cheer

I’m fucking done with foes. Thank the God that that’s who we’re victorious over. I know it’s catchy because I’ve started doing this to a lot of my sentence structure. I say things like “Over the Seahawks, the Panthers are victorious” or “Over the rainbow, somewhere.” And lookie lou! They rhyme cheer with cheer! V similar to rhyming U and you except even more honest.

For the whole gang is here

To cheer you Seattle U!

Now earlier, ‘you’ referred to the common fan. Now ‘you’ refers to the team and/or school. This is a classic case of noting the paradox of team and fans being two separate entities while simultaneously being one. And you thought fight songs couldn’t teach you philosophy.

S-E-A-T-T-L-E FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT

S-E-A-T-T-L-E FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT

The switch to all caps. Genius.

Over the foes we’re victorious and victory is our cheer

So let’s give a cheer for the whole gang is here to cheer you, Seattle U.

Wait… I thought this song was our cheer. How do we cheer victory? Also, we lose often so how does this song apply… then. Regardless! Sometimes the geniuses know better than us! It’s better not to question the words or logic.

GO REDHAWKS!

The mascot!!!!

Here’s a group of students who’ve memorized it singing it wholeheartedly!:
