SEATTLE UNIVERSITY – Several students required medical attention after Fr. Stephen Sundborg, President of Seattle University, attempted to crowd-surf during “Bass Down Low” by Dev. Sundborg rushed the stage and then leaped into the audience, sending several attendees straight to the concrete. Sundborg was not available for comment.
Within a few hours of the incident, SEAC released the following statement via email and social media:
SEAC formally denounces Father Sundborg’s actions during this year’s Quadstock. We have issued personal apologies to the injured students and Dev, who all had to witness this event firsthand. Father Sundborg will no longer be allowed to attend Quadstock in the years to come, and we at SEAC have been working hard to draft a rule that prohibits other Jesuits from attempting to crowd-surf in the future.
